Why Doesn’t It Have a Spigot?
At Miriam’s Earthen Cookware we strive to make products that are best for your health and value to your money by harnessing all of nature’s potential in skillfully and thoughtfully formed ware. The reasons we skipped the spigot are:
1. The interruption to the egg design would interfere with the natural vortex movement limiting its potential to purify and cool down effectively.
2. The metal or plastic in the spigot, the rubber washers etc., could collect dirt and is harder to clean and maintain, compared to the smooth and free flowing natural design of the pot that is very easy to rinse and maintain.
3. As explained above, the toxins removed from water sediment on the outside of the pot, so the pot needs to be cleaned on the outside periodically, so a metal piece in the design could collect a lot more of the toxins in the crevices and make it hard to fully clean off every time.
4. It’s easier and faster to scoop water out with a ladle than to hold and wait for a cup to fill up through a spigot!
