Chocolate and banana, Whole wheat bread. Made in Miriam's Clay pan

If you’ve ever dreamed of baking your own sandwich loaves, banana breads, or mini seasonal treats, we’ve got something just for you. After months of shaping, testing, and perfecting, we’re thrilled to introduce our newest additions to the Miriam’s family:

🍞 Mary and Magdalene’s Medium Bread Loaf Pan
🍞 The Small Loaf Pan
🍞 Sets for batch baking, gifting, or mixing and matching

Each one is made from our signature 100% primary clay, unglazed, and hand-thrown by our master potters in the USA.

So… Why Clay?

If you’re new to MEC, you may be wondering why we make bakeware from clay, and not metal or ceramic or something trendy. The answer is simple:

Most modern bakeware is made with synthetic coatings, glazes, or metals that can leach into your food, especially when exposed to heat over time. At Miriam’s Earthen Cookware, we use only lab-tested, pure primary clay, with absolutely no glazes, coatings, dyes, or fillers.

This means:

  • No toxins or heavy metals
  • No weird aftertaste in your bread
  • No flaking or degrading over time

Just clean, even, breathable heat, the kind that preserves nutrients, enhances flavor, and creates a beautiful crust and crumb without drying things out.

What Can You Bake in These?

Our full-size Mary and Magdalene Loaf Pan holds about 1 lb. of finished bread and is ideal for:

  • Sandwich loaves
  • Banana and zucchini bread
  • Pound cake
  • Savory bakes like meat loaf or stuffing

The Small Loaf Pan is great for:

  • Personal-sized portions
  • Recipe testing or small batches
  • Gifting (imagine handing someone a loaf and the pan!)
  • Kids’ lunches or freezer-friendly bakes

With multiple set options, you can bake two loaves at once, pair a mini and a regular together, or prep ahead for the week.

The Safest Bakeware for Your Home

We’re proud to offer the safest cookware and bakeware available anywhere. With our new loaf pans, you don’t have to compromise between performance, health, and tradition. You get it all:

✅ Non-toxic and naturally non-stick
✅ Hand-shaped and made to last for decades
✅ Oven-safe, freezer-safe, and endlessly versatile
✅ No metals, glazes, dyes, or hidden chemicals

And like all Miriam’s cookware, they’re made in the U.S.  not mass-manufactured overseas.

A Loaf Pan with a Purpose

A portion of proceeds from the Mary and Magdalene Bread Loaf Pan will go toward Maddie’s Place in Spokane, WA, a non-profit recovery nursery supporting infants experiencing withdrawal due to prenatal substance exposure. Every loaf you bake supports a mission rooted in healing and care.
